What do you think of when you think of Aussie surf life savers? Bronzed youth? Red & white flags, swimming caps and cossies? Mature characters sporting combos of rashies, binoculars, zinc and budgie smugglers pointing out vaguely towards the ocean while chugging down a can of Solo?
Our images of surf life saving are probably all different, and very dependant on how close to the ocean we grew up or live now. However it’s probably safe to say that most people in Australia at least have a bit of knowledge about the girls and boys in red and yellow.
We are proud to be working with one of the most quintessentially Australian organisations there is – Surf Life Saving NSW.
Looking after 77,000 official members and servicing many more in the wider public, Surf Life Saving NSW (SLSNSW) is needing to revamp their digital presence.
Being a project of a huge scale, SLSNSW invited Newgroup to carry out an in-depth Project Scope. This has been a lot of fun, as the team from SLSNSW are a smart looking and thinking bunch.
Defining this Project Scope has involved multiple workshops with teams from Newgroup and SLSNSW to perform Business Canvassing, User Experience (UX) activities, and nutting out the technical requirements.
We’ve enjoyed getting to know one another and have surfaced a huge amount of valuable information that will help make this project a deserved success.
