Stationery design isn’t the most riveting of marketing topics unless you speak to a marketer from a creative digital agency. And that’s exactly what happened when we were approached by Gary Davey, the head of David Jones’ Marketing department, to create him his very own line of personal marketing collateral for his new consulting firm.

As a creative digital agency, it’s always important to float with the times while understanding what elements of the past are relevant today. Though we deal with a lot of digital related enquiries, this project afforded us the opportunity to touch on our roots and revisit what our marketing forefathers once did. Physical marketing collateral is an immensely enjoyable thing to design and requires much creative input.

Working with Gary Davey, we designed a logo that would imbue his professional qualities as well as contain his own initials for a personal touch. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Gucci and Louis Vuitton, an interlaced letter logo was our creation – a creative digital agency has a lot to draw inspiration from, and Gucci and other visually striking brands are always a welcome mood source.
